The name 100 Monkeys was inspired by the the story, “The Hundredth Monkey” by Ken Keyes Jr.
This past summer my husband and I were ecstatic over the arrival of our first daughter. The fact that we were chosen to be her parents was the biggest honor ever bestowed on us and it is with great pleasure and excitement that we move forward on this journey as a new family of three.
Have you ever purchased “natural deodorant” only to use it and find out on the first day that it doesn’t work and that you actually stink? ME TOO! You can imagine how excited I was when I discovered that in five minutes or less, I could make my own natural deodorant using ingredients that I already had in my cupboard.
I am so glad I chose to experiment with natural products and recipes during my pregnancy. I found the perfect combination for a smooth great-smelling body butter that I used daily and was rewarded with zero stretch marks before and after giving birth.

The DIY (Do It Yourself) method is something that was sorely missing from my life until I decided to start asking some questions. I was living like some sort of robot, buying and consuming but it was only when I started questioning the contents of my products that I realized I might just be better off making my own. It turns out I was right! I find great satisfaction in using natural ingredients to make household products and I love all the savings that come with doing it yourself. This laundry soap was one of the first things I made on my own and I haven't looked back.
